USF Athletics Partnership Activation Manager - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

Job Summary:

The USF Athletics Partnership Activation Manager will work closely with the USF Director, USF Athletic Department Leadership and TBSE Partnership Activation team to oversee all aspects of the USF sponsor activation, integration, implementation and service including renewals and upsells.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all partnership service, activation and renewals for USF sponsors
  • Enhance current partnership agreements with focus on new/improved activation platforms
  • Fulfill USF partnership agreements with exceptional customer service
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings and presentations with current partners
  • Use creative thinking and industry knowledge to maximize ROI for each partner
  • Oversee mid-season and end of season partner recaps for select accounts
  • Increase annual partner investments via upsells, renewals and new activation elements
  • Assist with the planning and execution of all partner activation, events and hospitality
  • Assist with selling new sponsorships
  • Work with other departments at USF to ensure fulfillment of all client deliverables/communication.
  • Strive to achieve company and department goals and objectives
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with partners, USF leadership, and co-workers.
  • Manage all aspects associated with the inventory management, implementation, and reporting of the department’s key partnership marketing assets including but not limited to: digital, television, radio, web, print, social, and hospitality
  • Serve as the department lead on CRM, assisting with financial and inventory reporting, ROI/ROO tracking, and special projects as assigned
  • Support the TBSE mission, vision and values by exhibiting excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, empowerment of others, commitment to community, accountability and ownership of work
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years relevant experience in professional/college sports
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Ability to work with various computer software operating systems and applications including, Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proven self-motivated team player with a proven ability to meet and exceed aggressive individual and team sales goals
  • Proven expertise in the practices and principles related to the sale and implementation of sponsorships
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients/projects from conception to completion
  • Possess a solutions oriented problem solving mentality
  • Ability to respond swiftly and effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with sponsors, co-workers, USF leadership and other organizations
  • Creative and detail oriented; possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and a strong desire to succeed
  • Willingness and ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required

Sales & Marketing: Broadcast Production
Production Systems Engineer - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

Job Summary:

The Production Systems Engineer will be the main technical engineer and expert for the key production systems at Amalie Arena. This position will report directly to the VP of Innovation and Technology Services. The Production Systems Engineer will be responsible for supporting all technical elements of game presentation throughout Amalie Arena, including display systems, distribution systems, AV systems, switching and routing technologies, and all technologies related to audio and video. The position will be responsible for both maintaining current systems and supporting them leading up to and during games and events, and ensuring that the organization maintains a long-term strategic plan to keep its game presentation systems in an innovative state.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support all key systems in the arena to include:                                 
    • Arena displays and content systems (Daktronics, Spyder, etc.)
    • Graphics systems (Chyron/Hego)
    • Switching and Routing (Pesa and Rodd)
    • Various cameras
    • Video distribution (SD and HD)
    • Content backup processes
  • Provide backup support for IPTV and Social Media Systems
  • Support all Lightning and Storm Home Games and select large events
  • Provide basic operations as needed for control room systems
  • Work with Technology Services Manager and Production Systems Coordinator to ensure all event requirements are met
  • Work with VP of Technology Services and VP of Game Presentation to ensure long-term strategy for systems is met
  • Ensure company continues to maintain world class control room and related systems

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in Arena Production Control Room Engineering Role
  • Experience with Daktronics
  • Experience with key production systems (Chyron, Ross, Pesa, Triple Play, etc.)
  • Experience with control room relocations
  • Experience with studio operations
  • Experience with TV Production

Account Representative - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

Job Summary

The Account Representative is responsible for the sale of new season ticket memberships, group accounts, mini plans, and premium seating via phone, email marketing, face to face presentations, in-arena tours, and out-of-office appointments. They are also responsible for generating and implementing new and creative ideas to increase ticket sales revenue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maximizing revenue through the sale of season ticket memberships, mini plans, group tickets, and executive suite sales.
  • Prospect for new business on a daily basis through cold calling, networking, appointment setting, and referrals.
  • Utilize and create effective sales contacts.
  • Use proactive tactics to create opportunities for new business and with existing customers.
  • Develop database for Sales and Services by maintaining complete and accurate customer records.
  • Perform daily operations and service of all existing accounts.
  • Assist in the coordination of sales promotions.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Must meet or exceed all predetermined activity and sales goals.
  • Represent the Tampa Bay Lightning and develop lasting relationships at community events.
  • Perform sales functions during all Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Storm home games.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to manage numerous business relationships in a professional manner.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Ticketmaster, Archtics, Microsoft Excel, and Word experience a plus.
  • Must demonstrate teamwork and positive attitude.
  • Passion for sales, creativity, and professionalism.
  • Desire to be the best at what you do while working in a team environment.
  • Night and weekend hours required when needed.
