50/50 Raffler Sellers - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY

This position values guests and is committed to providing a positive impression with World Class Service.  This position requires an outgoing personality while selling 50/50 raffle tickets to fans in and outside the arena before and during Lightning hockey games. This position requires interaction with a large number of guests, and positive representation of the organization as a brand ambassador.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES           

  • Sell, handle and distribute 50/50 Raffle tickets to fans at the arena during and prior to Lightning hockey games

  • Speak to a large number of fans each game

  • Use mobile handheld or stationary device and printers for the sale of 50/50 Raffle tickets

  • Accurately handle cash from ticket sales and turn it in to the Coordinator at the end of the night

  • Explain the details and rules of the 50/50 Raffle to fans

  • Represent the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Foundation as brand ambassadors

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Must be prompt and organized

  • Must have excellent customer service and strong verbal communication skills

  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude when interacting with fans

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 70% of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s home games (October-May)

  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays, if necessary

  • Must be willing to work at least 4 hour shifts

Partnership Activation Account Executive - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)


Job Summary:

The Partnership Activation Account Executive will manage all aspects associated with the implementation, development and retention of assigned corporate partner sponsorship accounts with a focus on providing our partners with world-class service and strategic activation platforms resulting in increased retention and revenue. The Partnership Activation Account Executive will need to possess a positive attitude, solid work ethic, a strong sense of ownership, will be proactive in nature, and will uphold the highest of professional standards.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day management, activation and development of assigned Lightning/Storm sponsors
  • Act as corporate marketing consultant to partner contacts to develop and deliver on impactful, effective and measurable sponsorship platforms.
  • Lead the planning, execution, tracking, and reporting of all assigned partners’ contractual elements, including but not limited to: traditional media assets (e.g. radio, print, television, digital, social, etc.), in-market promotions, in-arena activation, hospitality, experiential, and community programs.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to collaborate on the strategy and fulfillment of partnership marketing initiatives.
  • Help manage the process of measuring the effectiveness of assigned sponsorship platforms to demonstrate partner ROI and ROO using tools such as Scarborough, Repucom, independent internal studies, etc.
  • Responsible for directly contributing to overall company and department revenue goals through partnership renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow partner relationships at all levels from day-to-day contacts to decision makers through regular touchpoints, including but not limited to: weekly or bi-weekly status calls; annual partner activation summit; hospitality and events; pre-season planning, mid-season check-in, and post-season recap meetings; etc.
  • Act as an extension of assigned partners’ brand, understanding the industry landscape, business objectives, challenges, opportunities, etc.
  • Manage both internal and external partner expectations on processes, timelines, approvals, and deadlines.
  • Support organization CHARGE program with 25 hours of community service per year
  • Perform other duties, as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, advertising, or sports management (or similar field) from four-year college or university required
  • 3 or more years of partnership activation/service/sales experience
  • Creative, enthusiastic, and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superior customer service focus and sales skills
  • Strong project management skills focused on organization, time management and planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to be strategic and solution-oriented
  • Ability to establish effective client and interdepartmental relationships, manage multiple client contacts and projects, and drive business
  • Able to interface with colleagues, senior executives, and clients effectively and personably, recognizing the need to adjust communication style accordingly to the audience

Sr. Foundation Coordinator - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

Job Summary:

The Lightning Foundation Senior Coordinator is responsible for assisting and advancing the mission of the Lightning Foundation while conducting excellent community relations for the Tampa Bay Lightning and Amalie Arena. This position will report to the Executive Director of the Lightning Foundation and work closely with Community Relations, Public Relations, and Community Hockey staff.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The primary role of the Senior Coordinator is to be the driving sales and operational force behind the 50/50 Raffle Program which is a $1,000,000+ program benefiting the Lightning Foundation, where one lucky winner receives 50% of the cash pot (after allowable expenses) from that night’s game, while the Lighting Foundation receives the other 50% to be donated to hundreds of ongoing local charitable organizations and charitable efforts.  The Senior Coordinator will also assist with the Lightning Community Hero program, on-going financial reporting for the Foundation, as well as implementing signature programs and events for the Foundation and Community Relations department.

  • Manage all game day aspects of the 50/50 raffle during each home game
    • Oversee all part-time raffle ticket sellers including the hiring, training, scheduling and communicating general information
    • Operate and implement raffle technology including, troubleshooting and tracking of underlying systems
    • Manage cash and finances including setting goals, counting and depositing all monies collected at each game
    • Reconcile tickets sold and cash received and track season progress
    • Coordinate and execute redemption process for raffle winners
    • Engage fans to build awareness of the 50/50 raffle program and the Lighting Foundation
    • Structure and policies including rules, winner paperwork, FL law reporting, and seller training
  • Assist with outreach, systems and reporting for the Lightning Community Heroes programs
    • Answer questions about Hero program and read and score nominations
    • Maintain communications with our network of Community Heroes
  • Process donation receipts and maintain financial records and budgets to support Foundation’s incoming and outgoing donations
  • Help with the planning and logistics for Bolt Run, the Bolts Family Carnival, the Bolts Better Halves Fashion Show, the annual fishing tournament as well as the Bolts & Bulls Golf Tournament
  • Help execute internal merchandise signings multiple times per year
  • Cultivate the Lightning Foundation’s relationships with charitable partners
  • Assist Community Relations with school and arts programming as well as tickets and in-kind donations
  • Help maintain Foundation and Community Relations databases
  • Supply social media and web content
  • Support the Lightning Family Association and its endeavors


Qualifications:

PRODUCTION SYSTEMS COORDINATOR - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the Director of Production Systems with the management, and operation of all Amalie Arena electronic LED, video, broadcast and projection display systems as required to Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Storm games and events; and, third party events requiring all or part of the Amalie Arena production systems.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

System Coordination

  • Manage the daily programming, file system and operation of Daktronics display system

  • Assist in the supervision of all such service/software/hardware issues as they relate to said operating systems and actual display boards

  • Assist, in a similar fashion, with the configuration, technical operation and maintenance of

    Control Room and video production equipment; Video Wall displays, in-house video and IPTV system as directed

  • Supervise and manage Daktronics system file library archives and monitor layouts

  • Assist in the reception/transmission of all required video signals to house channels and destinations as directed

  • Assist in integration of third party data feeds (NHL HITS, Stats Inc., texting, etc.) into control room and orchestrate eventual display

  • Apply skills and experience to other areas of the company - specifically with Stadium Operations broadcast TV truck issues, CATV system, IPTV system and maintenance of large screen displays

  • Research and recommend equipment upgrades

Content Delivery

  • Configure, test and display required display elements to properly execute games, shows and events requiring all or part of the display systems
  • Serve as a measure of “Quality Control” for images, animations, graphics and control room audio to be displayed at games, events and/or house TV channels.  Includes: ingest & file transfers, distribution, playback and recording.  Also includes alerting senior staff to issues/problems
  • Correspond with internal department reps as necessary to ensure team and client content deliverables are both met and exceeded quantitatively and qualitatively
  • As directed, serve as a “Point of Contact” with management for shows, events, television and video production companies that intend to use or integrate Amalie Arena production services into their event

Crew  

  • Assist in providing/training technically proficient and reliable operators to execute the

    in-game/in-house show requirements and for events in need of Lightning Vision production services

  • Apply skills and know-how to other areas of production - specifically regarding training crew members on best audio/video recording practices and techniques

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years prior related experience, preferably with in-stadium sports production

  • Ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Good understanding and experience of video and television production, audio and video formats,

     videography, audio and video editing, lighting and field production skills

  • Technical aptitude, including good troubleshooting abilities experience with broadcast cameras, routers; audio equipment; intercom systems; Video server/networking protocols; and, digital recording formats
  • Experience with equipment installation and integration
  • Strong computer skills, especially as they relate to digital video and audio
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, and facility system wiring diagrams
  • Ability to communicate and teach the above to part-time employees and interns

  • Basic Administrative computer skills: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • BA/BS or equivalent degree in video and television production and engineering preferred,

    but not required

  • Must be able to work all home games, most events and see projects through completion

  • Must be able to work long and/or odd-hour stretches in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Job Summary:

The Premium Events Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing all premium events occurring at Amalie Arena. They will be required to work closely with all departments in order to coordinate meetings, hospitality events and shows. The Premium Events Coordinator must have excellent communication skills and have the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Obtian updates from the Manager of Event Booking on daily event sales leads
  • Responsible for conducting site visits and follow up emails/phone calls with client
  • Work closely with all departments while coordinating day to day meetings, hospitality events and events/shows.
  • Create complete and accurate "set up sheet" based on advance material and distribute to all staff
  • Build and maintain relationships with outside vendors for show rentals, stagehands, runners, etc.
  • Work with all departments making sure building is clean, clear and ready for events/shows, hospitality events and meetings
  • Coordinate all set up needs for events/shows, hospitality events and meetings, including but not limited to: guest services, conversion, chair crew, stagehands, merchandise, dressing rooms, pyrotechnics, licenses, permits, insurance, phones, catering, parking, estimates, housekeeping, sales, marketing, equipment rental and runners
  • Responsible for coordination of all functions from planning, advancing, load in, event operation, load out and post-event reports and invoices
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Event Management or Hospitality Management preferred
  • At least 1-2 years of coordination experience or equivalent
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be creative and have high attention to detail
  • Must possess a positive attitude and be a team player
  • Ability to be proactive and anticipate needs
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Eventbooking.com and AutoCAD is a plus
  • Must have a flexible schedule

Lightning Made Street Team - Captain (part-time) - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

Job Summary

The Lightning Made Street Team will consist of energetic, motivated  individuals with a positive attitude that are excited about the growth of hockey in the Tampa Bay Area. The Street Team will be a part of the Tampa Bay Lightning’s Street Lightning initiative, designed to introduce young children to the game of hockey through street hockey. The Street Team Lead will be the main contact when dealing with the event locations and will act as the head of the Street Team when full-time staff members are not present.

Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Set-up and execute street hockey clinics within the Tampa Bay Area and surrounding communities. These clinics will be held at Schools, YMCA’s, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other youth based facilities.
  • Drive equipment and members of the Lightning Made Street Team to the event.
  • Communicate with the location on-site to ensure proper set-up.
  • Lead the introductory presentation to students going over the basics of hockey.
  • Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere while teaching children the game of hockey at an introductory level.
  • Promote the Tampa Bay Lightning in a professional and respectful manner while dealing with members of the community.

Compensation/Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Ability to drive an extended van and/or box truck.
  • Qualified candidates must have a working knowledge of the game of hockey
