Summary:
The Database Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for implementing Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Storm, Tampa Bay Times Forum database marketing initiatives. This position will be primarily responsible for delivering content to and increasing audience engagement via e-mail and text mediums. The Database Marketing Coordinator will also be responsible for contributing to the overall department goals of growing the fan base, enhancing the service and value provided to customers and growing revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Design, schedule, and execute all database marketing initiatives, including, but not limited to email and text
- Copy writing, layout, set-up, testing, deployment, monitoring and reporting of e-mail campaigns
- Maintain the email and text marketing content calendar
- Maintain, enhance and grow all customer databases
- Secure, maintain, analyze, and mine data pertaining to database marketing initiatives
- Assist in the development of sales campaign strategies and tactics through an understanding of the database and available marketing resources
- Develop revenue generation opportunities through data segmentation and database knowledge
- Lead management, database hygiene and data append initiatives
- Actively pursue existing and new data collection methods through all outlets available, ensuring standardization and accuracy in which that data is collected and stored
- Maintain relationship with third party database marketing vendors to resolve issues, implement changes, and keep systems up-to-date
- Monitor and incorporate best practices in e-mail and text marketing
- Ensure compliance to marketing regulations such as CAN SPAM, COPA, Etc.
- This position requires flexible hours including working game nights, weekends, holidays and evening special events
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- One/two years of full-time and or intern experience in a database marketing
- Experience building email campaigns in HTML
- Knowledge of HTML
- Experience with Archtics and Microsoft CRM preferred
- Ability to analyze and manipulate data into clearly understandable end user reports
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- High attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Proven track record of results in database management/marketing environment

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the season, mini plans, group, and executive suite sales
- Prospect for new business on a daily basis through cold calling, networking, appointment setting, and referrals
- Database development for Sales and Services
- Perform daily operations and service of all existing accounts
- Assist in coordination of sales promotions
- Must meet all predetermined activity and sales goals
- Represent the Tampa Bay Lightning and develop lasting relationships at community events
- Perform sales functions during Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Storm home games
- Night and weekend hours required when necessary
Qualifications:
- Career orientated in a professional sports sales setting
- Effective time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once
- Excellent communication/presentation skills
- Ticketmaster, Archtics, Microsoft Excel and Word experience a plus
- Must demonstrate teamwork and positive attitude
- Passion for sales, creativity, and professionalism
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Desire to be the best at what you do while working in a team environment
