Ticket Office Intern - Fall 2017 Semester

Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests in a polite, professional and friendly manner

  • Assist guests in selecting seating for events

  • Accurately organize and distribute Will Call tickets to guests

  • Ensure guest’s needs are met by providing accurate information regarding directions, arena information, event details, etc.

  • Obtain general knowledge of Ticketmaster/Archtics system

  • Responsible for daily ticket printing of each week’s events

  • Troubleshoot any ticketing issues

  • Able to assist in supervising part-time staff with daily Ticket Office operations

  • Personally accountable for a money bank

  • Courteous, helpful demeanor when answering phones

  • Must meet all quality standards set forth in Intern Evaluation criteria

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Polite, friendly, and has a positive attitude
  • Currently enrolled as a college student
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Comfortable with extensive guest contact in a fast paced environment
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Cash handling abilities
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor

Human Resources Intern-Fall 2017 - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with Recruiting and Interviewing, including creating job descriptions, pre-screening, setting up interviews, and follow-up
  • Maintain Personnel Files
  • Assist with Worker’s Compensation Claims
  • Assist with Employee-Safety Training
  • Assist with implementation of Onboarding Process
  • Assist with duties related to Internship Program
  • Assist with creation and implementation of Performance Appraisal System
  • Assist with compensation projects to include researching salary information
  • Assist with creating Safety Goals Program
  • Improve employee communications via e-mail and the Lightning intranet
  • Create forms, documents, and spreadsheets
  • Responsible for the overall organization of HR Office
  • Perform other duties, as assigned


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student in a college or university, preferably as a Junior or Senior
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Attention to detail
  • Must be a team player

This is an unpaid internship, eligible for course credit.
