Facility Operations: Security
Part-time Event Security - Facility Operations (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides Facility Security for all events at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees. This position reports to the Facility Patrol Supervisor. This is a Part Time position.

 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering World Class Service
  • Provide guests with accurate arena and event information
  • Enforce building policies and procedures
  • Accurately check all staff/guest bags prior to entering the arena
  • Respond to all emergencies during the event
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete incident reports
  • Work cooperatively with all staff members, law enforcement officers and fire/rescue personnel
  • Respond to all guests’ concerns/complaints in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
  • Monitor the crowd during all events to ensure safety for all
  • Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of the Security Chain of Command
  • Security license preferred, Law Enforcement or Military background
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge and skill in radio communication
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English. Bilingual a plus
  • Ability to listen effectively, take and execute directions given
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during times of stress
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment to diffuse volatile situations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays and double shifts
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Facility Operations: Event Guest Relations
Platinum Services (Part-time) - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY:

A position with the Platinum Services Department requires proven World Class customer service skills, motivation, dependability, and exceptional communication skills. The candidate, who earns a spot in this division, shows unconditional professionalism with our higher clientele in our premium seating and ADA areas. (Suites, ADA entrances and all other premium seating areas) This position is responsible for greeting guests, unlocking suite doors, giving tours of our premium areas, and keeping the lines of communication open with SportService, Concierges, and Event Supervisors. It is vital to assists the concierges and develop a relationship with the premium seating clientele. With that said, this position will be expected to work no less than 80% of all events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assist guests with any questions, concerns or special requests

· Search guests’ personal items in a prompt, but friendly manner

· Scan tickets for entry with a smile and a friendly greeting

· Check tickets to ensure the proper guests are entering our premium areas

· Assist guests with disabilities in all ADA areas

· Assist Guest Services department as needed

· Communicate guests’ needs and/or requests to the Concierges and Suite Attendants

· Develop positive working relationships with all Arena departments, especially SportService, as well as all Premium seating Clientele

· Enforce all building policies and procedures during an event to assure safety and security for all

· Must handle any and all guest-related matters in a professional and courteous manner

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

· Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

· Previous customer service experience preferred but not required

· Enjoy interacting with people and building new relationships

· Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time including walking long distances and stairs

Facility Operations: Facility/Venue Management
Parking Coordinator - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY

Support the organization’s overall mission by providing strategic direction to the parking operation.  Ensure the highest levels of customer service and parking revenue generation.  Assist in coordinating the efforts of parking vendors and internal parking operations staff and ensure adherence to all parking operations policies and procedures.  Sustain the culture of service aimed at providing an exceptional experience for all guest visits to the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily and event parking for SPP/TBSE
  • Create an overall parking strategy for SPP and TBSE Properties
  •  Coordinate sales and marketing efforts for all relative parking inventory
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets on an annual basis.
  • Coordinate the monitoring and trouble-shooting of automated parking equipment as necessary.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to guest questions and concerns when escalated to management level.
  • Manage the parking budget in coordination with the Director of Security.
  • Oversee the management of our external parking contracts.
  • Create and maintain accurate daily, monthly, and quarterly reports regarding parking operation revenue, expenses, usage patterns, etc.
  • Supervise the timely and accurate completion of daily count-down forms as they relate to the parking operation. 
  • Provide a superior level of Guest service in all parking areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Security.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Whether working First, Second, or Third Shift, this position is responsible for the cleaning and support of our facility and grounds to make every event a World Class success. A high energy level, dependability, excellent attitude, attention to detail, excellent English communication, and desire to cooperate as a team member are critical components of success. This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. If you possess leadership skills, additional opportunities may become available as you prove yourself.  WE OFFER A $0.75 SHIFT PREMIUM FOR THE THIRD (OVERNIGHT) SHIFT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible to provide a clean and safe facility before, during and after all events

• Clean and maintain all bathrooms and replenish supplies as needed

• Sweep, mop, vacuum and maintain various types of floors

• Work cooperatively with all staff members

This position is committed to providing World Class Service for all Tampa Bay Times Forum Parking Lots for all events and is responsible for the protection, outdoor protection and safeguarding of Guests and Employees and their vehicles. Facility Operations: Event Guest Relations
PLAZA TEAM - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

PLAZA TEAM

As a division of Guest Services, The Plaza Team is responsible for providing World Class customer service to the guests at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, ensuring guests feel welcomed and that they leave with a long lasting, positive impression of our Arena.  The Plaza Team is often the first point of contact that guests encounter when arriving at the Forum as well as the last as guests leave the arena. Plaza Team is expected to maintain a working knowledge of our facilities and special events.  This position plays a vital role when it comes to creating a safe and interactive environment for our guests. This position will often times be the first contact for many of our venue sponsors, local radio stations and plaza entertainment. The members of the Plaza Team must exhibit an enthusiastic personality and be proactive in every area.  Upon hire, all employees will be expected to be available for no less than 70% of all events, as well as, 70% of all events that are deemed mandatory by management.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist conversion with set up and take down of Plaza
  • Direct and greet guests as they arrive at the Forum
  • Facilitate Kid’s Zone games and interactive areas
  • Respond to and investigate incidents that occur on the East and West Plaza.
  • Manage large crowds pre and post event
  • Enforce all arena policies during an event
  • Check tickets of guests as they enter and exit smoking areas
  • Must handle any and all guest-related matters in a professional and courteous manner
  • Manage the lines at the ticket office, Thunder Alley food stands, student rush, and all gates
  • Enforce the Forum’s policy regarding scalpers
  • Must be willing to assist other Forum departments.

Requirements:

  •  Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk long distances for up to 8 hours
  • Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy interacting with people and building new relationships
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Must enjoy interacting with children
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
  • Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
