Tampa Sportservice / Delaware North is now hiring for PART TIME / SEASONAL CONCESSIONS WORKERS at the Amalie Arena, a state-of-the-art entertainment facility.  Located in the heart of Tampa Bay, the Amalie Arena is Florida’s premier entertainment venue and home of the 2004 Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning and Five-Time Arena Football Champion Tampa Bay Storm.  With a variety of configurations, it’s an outstanding venue for concerts, conventions and family entertainment.

  • Concessions Stand Attendant   – Responsible for following stand leaders assignments for opening procedures, food preparation, event operation, and closing procedures. Keep work area clean and sufficiently stocked.  Prepare food and beverage items for guests order using proper preparation procedures, menu costing standards, and sanitation guidelines.  Prior experience is helpful, but not required.  Position requires open availability for all events. 
     
  • Concessions Cashier - Follow stand leaders assignments for opening procedures, food preparation, event operation, and closing procedures. Initiate sales, sell up to larger items and sizes, and add on to sales. Record all sales transactions through the POS units.  Inform guest of amount owed; count back correct change and end transactions in a positive way.  Ensure compliance with all alcohol policies. Make cash drops as directed. Report any POS entry errors to the Stand Leader.  Prior cash handling experience is preferred.  Position requires open availability for all events.
     
  • Concessions Cook – Prepare items in the stand using a grill or fryer.  Responsible for ensuring the timely and professional operation of the food preparation areas.  Ensure food is cooked thoroughly and items are prepared according to menu.  Follow food safety standards.

Position Summary:

Each host/hostess at Firestick Grill is responsible for Greeting and seating guests in accordance with Company’s Blue Ribbon Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Functions:

·         Reviews and organizes floor plan with manager

·         Confirms stations and checks tables and chairs for cleanliness

·         Greets guests and seats them at tables in a friendly and professional manner

·         Seats guests according to seating chart, server rotation and guest preference and provides guests with menus

·         Maintains control of the seating and wait times

·         Cleans and maintains Host station; contributes to the cleanliness of the dining areas

·         Answers any guest questions regarding service, and provides general assistance for guests and employees

·         Thanks guests as they are leaving, and wishes them farewell

Education & Experience:

·         Basic understanding of restaurant operations, computer skills, and phone skills

Bartender/ Server-Busser - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

Position Summary

A bartender/server/busser is responsible for the beverage service in accordance with the DNC’s Operational Standards and Fan Experience Service Standards. This staff member is also responsible for following all health codes and sanitation regulations as well as ServSafe standards.  Assist with other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete proper set up, breakdown and cleaning on assigned station and/or bar in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to all unit and company grooming and uniform policies.
  • Communicates daily specials, answers questions about menu items, and takes beverage and/or food orders
  • Acts as a good-will ambassador for the Tampa Bay Lightning and Sportservice.
  • Ensures that all equipment is set up properly and operating efficiently and accurately.
  • Verifies all paperwork is complete and turned in at conclusion of shift/event
  • Completes accurate reports and accounting procedures as requested by management in accordance to DNC policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to inventory and labor control measures; performs inventory counts as requested (each event)
  • Contribute ideas and suggestion to be used to make a more productive and organized operation.
  • Cooperate with fellow service personnel and all department supervisors and managers to satisfy any and all customer needs.
  • Assist with training new and existing associates, under the direction of management.
  • Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons following standard recipes and using company standardized proportions; serves wine and bottled beer or draws draught beer.
  • Enters drink orders into POS, collects payment from patrons for drinks served and makes correct change (when applicable).
  • Follows all company account procedures and policies regarding inventory, POS, and cash handling procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments and supplies.
  • Cleans and stores bar equipment and bar stock.
  • Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and or manager.
  • Maintains a clean bar area and table area by bussing in a timely fashion.

Non-essential Functions:

Experience Required:

  • One to two years previous experience as a bartender /server in a high volume environment preferred
  • Experience in the handling of all forms of payment and prior experience using computerized POS system; previous experience with Quest POS preferred.

  • Exceptional guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Fan Experience Service Standards and Operational Standards

JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides Facility Security for all events at the Amalie Arena and responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees. This position reports to the Facility Patrol Supervisor. This is a Part Time position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide guests with accurate arena and event information

  • Maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program in the areas of pipe work systems, back flow preventers, cartridge changes, grease traps etc.
  • Trouble shoot and repair a variety of plumbing issues, including toilets, urinals, flush controls
  • Some new install of pipe work and fixtures
  • Assist, as required, other skilled trades in a variety of maintenance repairs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Work with vendors to get competitive pricing on materials needed for jobs and submit purchase order requests

   QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five (5) years trade experience

JOB SUMMARY

This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing and ability to lift 50 pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and repair various components of climate control systems including motors, cooling and heating coils, heat pumps, hot water systems.
  • Program, monitor and schedule the cycling of climate control systems through a complex DDC processor for the most economical level of operation.
  • Test and treat via chemical alteration all open and closed looped climate control energy systems, including the treatment of cooling towers.
  • Maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers and boilers including monitoring energy management procedures.
  • Maintain and repair ice-making equipment, refrigeration equipment and appliances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
