Part-time Event Security - Facility Operations (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides Facility Security for all events at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees. This position reports to the Facility Patrol Supervisor. This is a Part Time position.

 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering World Class Service
  • Provide guests with accurate arena and event information
  • Enforce building policies and procedures
  • Accurately check all staff/guest bags prior to entering the arena
  • Respond to all emergencies during the event
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete incident reports
  • Work cooperatively with all staff members, law enforcement officers and fire/rescue personnel
  • Respond to all guests’ concerns/complaints in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
  • Monitor the crowd during all events to ensure safety for all
  • Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of the Security Chain of Command
  • Security license preferred, Law Enforcement or Military background
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge and skill in radio communication
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English. Bilingual a plus
  • Ability to listen effectively, take and execute directions given
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during times of stress
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment to diffuse volatile situations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays and double shifts
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Assistant Building Operations Manager - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

 

JOB SUMMARY

 

The Assistant Building Operations Manager must strive for the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the client’s needs, and a commitment to achieving the goal of 100% uptime throughout the engineering team.  This position values guests and is committed to providing a positive impression with World Class Service.  This includes the management of all Physical Plant personnel, work schedules, time and attendance reports.  This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing and ability to lift 50 pounds.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         Oversee total building operation of Physical Plant and Maintenance departments.

 

·         Assist with management, scheduling and process payroll for Engineering department personnel.

 

·         Oversee all full-time and part-time employees within the department.

 

·         Manage building control system and all components associated with the climate control system.

 

·         Program, monitor and schedule climate control system for the most economical level of operation.

 

·         Develop and implement a safety-meeting for maintenance and actively participate in facility safety drills.

 

·         Ensure maintenance team has required tools, parts, and resources to perform their job effectively and safely.

 

·         Work to reduce gas, electric and water bills.

 

·         Assist Director of Building Operations with organizing all building renovations, repairs and upgrades.

 

·         Coordinate and document all building repairs and preventative maintenance using the Aware Manager system.

 

·         Uphold and enforce company policy.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

·         College Degree or Vocational Certification

 

·         2-4 Years of Direct Supervisory experience over maintenance crews
 

·         Thorough knowledge of local, state and federal codes and regulations

 

·         Teamwork with emphasis on workplace safety

 

·         Effective written and oral communication skills

  

·         Ability to work long hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays

JOB DUTIES

 


· Report to work on scheduled events and report to work area on a timely basis.

· Attend pre-event meetings.

· Follow supervisor’s assignments for assigned work area.

· Perform opening procedures, food handling, event operation and closing procedures.

· Prepare and serve hot food on requests of guests.

· Replenish buffet trays as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work anytime Monday thru Sunday and be able to begin shifts in the late afternoon (2-3pm) until late in the evening(12-1am). Bartender/ Server-Busser - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

 

 

Position Summary

 

A bartender/server/busser is responsible for the beverage service in the club in accordance with the DNC’s Operational Standards and Fan Experience Service Standards. This staff member is also responsible for following all health codes and sanitation regulations as well as ServSafe standards. This staff member must have knowledge in ticket taking and seating guests in accordance with company policy when required. Assist with other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisor or manager.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Complete proper set up, breakdown and cleaning on assigned station and/or bar in a timely manner.
  • Adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to all unit and company grooming and uniform policies.
  • Communicates daily specials, answers questions about menu items, and takes beverage and/or food orders
  • Acts as a good-will ambassador for the Tampa Bay Lightning and Sportservice.
  • Ensures that all equipment is set up properly and operating efficiently and accurately.
  • Verifies all paperwork is complete and turned in at conclusion of shift/event
  • Completes accurate reports and accounting procedures as requested by management in accordance to DNC policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to inventory and labor control measures; performs inventory counts as requested (each event)
  • Contribute ideas and suggestion to be used to make a more productive and organized operation.
  • Cooperate with fellow service personnel and all department supervisors and managers to satisfy any and all customer needs.
  • Assist with training new and existing associates, under the direction of management.
  • Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons following standard recipes and using company standardized proportions; serves wine and bottled beer or draws draught beer.
  • Enters drink orders into POS, collects payment from patrons for drinks served and makes correct change (when applicable).
  • Follows all company account procedures and policies regarding inventory, POS, and cash handling procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments and supplies.
  • Cleans and stores bar equipment and bar stock.
  • Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and or manager.
  • Maintains a clean bar area and table area by bussing in a timely fashion.

 

 

Non-essential Functions:

  • Must have reliable transportation and be on time for assigned shift as stated on posted schedule.
  • Ability to punch in and out at assigned time clock on a consistent basis.
  • May work in other areas and/or positions when needed.
  • Assists with catered events as directed.

 

Experience Required:

  • One to two years previous experience as a bartender /server in a high volume environment preferred
  • Experience in the handling of all forms of payment and prior experience using computerized POS system; previous experience with Quest POS preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Fan Experience Service Standards and Operational Standards
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
  • Must have good verbal, interpersonal and telephone communication skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and friendly.
  • Team-oriented
  • Ability and desire to take initiative.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to remain standing for entire length of shift
  • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
  • Able to perform normal lifting of stock up to 30 pounds.
