JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the operation of maintenance and repair of various mechanical and electrical systems, machinery, tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare for, hook up, maintain and disconnect show power as required
  • Maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program in the areas of electrical systems, controls and devices
  • Trouble shoot and repair a variety of electrical systems, controls and devices
  • Assist, as required, other skilled trades in a variety of maintenance repairs
  • Set up and dismantle various show related equipment as required
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five (5) years electrician experience
  • Thorough knowledge of National Electric Code
  • Ability to decipher problems and remedy same
  • Team worker with emphasis on safety in the workplace
  • Ability to read and decipher blueprints, schematics and working equipment documents
  • Must have journeyman electrician license
  • Good mechanical understanding of equipment
  • Willing to work hours and shifts including weekdays, weeknights, weekends and holidays

Facility Operations: Facility/Venue Management
Project Planner (Temporary Position) - Amalie Arena (Tampa, FL)

Job Summary:

The Project Planner will work to support the Senior Facility Project Manager to conceptualize, develop, and oversee all facility-related projects.  At a minimum, these projects may include design/build construction, sponsor improvements or relocations, and facility maintenance capital items.  The objective of all projects will be to continue creating building enhancements in accordance with industry standards, company brand standards, business and organizational needs.  This is a temporary position with a duration of 9 months. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the coordination and management of scheduled maintenance, repairs, and various construction projects
  • Collaborate with various departments to establish capital project scopes and budgets while tracking, recording, and analyzing project costs against the overall capital budget
  • Create requests for proposals, project schedules, status reports and updates
  • Source and evaluate competitive bids, negotiate, and hire qualified companies/contractors
  • Develop quick and effective resolution to problems
  • Establish priorities, and successfully complete those tasks
  • Manage outside vendors to maintain project deliverables and ensure compliance with design intent, budget, and schedule
  • Coordinate project objectives, needs, and timelines to the Executive Team
  • Create transparency of performance, insight, and action to the Executive Team through status reports and project updates
  • Adhere to company policy in creating and tracking purchase orders and invoices
  • Develop and track objectives, schedules, and budgets for current and/or future projects
  • Research projects and obtain proposals to assist with determining project viability and ROI
  • Perform job walks to observe project conditions, status, and quality control
  • Support the Senior Facility Project Manager as required

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of design and commercial construction including current construction means and methods
  • Knowledge of arena layouts, functions, operational requirements/constraints and space needs
  • Bachelor’s degree required with a preference in Architecture, Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction or Facility Management
  • Previous experience in facility project management or construction project management a plus
  • Communicates professionally and respectively in an open, candid, and consistent manner keeping others informed of issues, needs, and progress
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully coordinate and deliver multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook with exception skills in Excel
  • Experience in basic accounting and cost tracking
  • Compliance with our company policy of Background Checks and drug screening
  • Must be team-oriented and capable of working effectively with a wide variety of people and personalities
  • Exhibits a positive, professional image
  • Displays a high level of integrity, confidentiality, ethics, and discretion

Part-time Event Security - Facility Operations (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides Facility Security for all events at the Amalie Arena and responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees. This position reports to the Facility Patrol Supervisor. This is a Part Time position.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering World Class Service
  • Provide guests with accurate arena and event information
  • Enforce building policies and procedures
  • Accurately check all staff/guest bags prior to entering the arena
  • Respond to all emergencies during the event
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete incident reports
  • Work cooperatively with all staff members, law enforcement officers and fire/rescue personnel
  • Respond to all guests’ concerns/complaints in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
  • Monitor the crowd during all events to ensure safety for all
  • Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of the Security Chain of Command
  • Security license preferred, Law Enforcement or Military background
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge and skill in radio communication
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English. Bilingual a plus
  • Ability to listen effectively, take and execute directions given
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during times of stress

JOB SUMMARY:

Whether working First, Second, or Third Shift, this position is responsible for the cleaning and support of our facility and grounds to make every event a World Class success. A high energy level, dependability, excellent attitude, attention to detail, excellent English communication, and desire to cooperate as a team member are critical components of success. This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. If you possess leadership skills, additional opportunities may become available as you prove yourself.  WE OFFER A $0.75 SHIFT PREMIUM FOR THE THIRD (OVERNIGHT) SHIFT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Part-time PLAZA TEAM - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

PLAZA TEAM

As a division of Guest Services, The Plaza Team is responsible for providing World Class customer service to the guests at the Amalie Arena, ensuring guests feel welcomed and that they leave with a long lasting, positive impression of our Arena.  The Plaza Team is often the first point of contact that guests encounter when arriving at the Arena as well as the last as guests leave the arena. Plaza Team is expected to maintain a working knowledge of our facilities and special events.  This position plays a vital role when it comes to creating a safe and interactive environment for our guests. This position will often times be the first contact for many of our venue sponsors, local radio stations and plaza entertainment. The members of the Plaza Team must exhibit an enthusiastic personality and be proactive in every area.  Upon hire, all employees will be expected to be available for no less than 70% of all events, as well as, 70% of all events that are deemed mandatory by management.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist conversion with set up and take down of Plaza
  • Direct and greet guests as they arrive at the Forum
  • Facilitate Kid’s Zone games and interactive areas
  • Respond to and investigate incidents that occur on the East and West Plaza.
  • Manage large crowds pre and post event
  • Enforce all arena policies during an event
  • Check tickets of guests as they enter and exit smoking areas
  • Must handle any and all guest-related matters in a professional and courteous manner
  • Manage the lines at the ticket office, Thunder Alley food stands, student rush, and all gates
  • Enforce the Forum’s policy regarding scalpers
  • Must be willing to assist other Arena departments.

Requirements:

  •  Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk long distances for up to 8 hours
  • Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy interacting with people and building new relationships
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Must enjoy interacting with children
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
  • Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English.  Bilingual a plus.

JOB SUMMARY:

Whether working First, Second, or Third Shift, this position is responsible for the set-up, tear down, and movement of every item necessary to make every event a World Class success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the physical set up, tear down, and movement of all equipment, materials, and furniture for hockey, arena football, basketball, concerts, and large and small events both on and off our property. This is a very physical job.

• Work cooperatively with all staff members

• Maintain a clean, neat, professional appearance during work hours

• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and OSHA standards which help assure the health, safety, and security of co-workers and guests

• Report to management any discrepancies, damage, loss of property, or safety issues

• Specialized facility cleaning duties may occasionally be necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Compliance with our company policy of Background Checks and Random Drug Screens

· Punctual, dependable, and Excellent work attendance record

· Excellent communication skills in English

JOB SUMMARY

This position values guests and is committed to providing a positive impression with World Class Service. It is a behind the scenes position that requires handling of all arena HVAC Systems. This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing and ability to lift 50 pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and repair various components of climate control systems including motors, cooling and heating coils, heat pumps, hot water systems.
  • Program, monitor and schedule the cycling of climate control systems through a complex DDC processor for the most economical level of operation.
  • Test and treat via chemical alteration all open and closed looped climate control energy systems, including the treatment of cooling towers.
  • Maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers and boilers including monitoring energy management procedures.
  • Maintain and repair ice-making equipment, refrigeration equipment and appliances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to decipher blueprints, schematics and working equipment documents
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state and federal codes and regulations
  • Teamwork with emphasis on workplace safety
  • High School diploma or equivalent
