The Barback is responsible for providing supplies and providing the bartender with items upon request that help assure exceptional guest service specifically in the Bars, Suites, In-Seat or Restaurant environment. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Primary responsibilities:

  • Responsible for stocking bar items daily and filling the ice bins as needed.
  • Anticipate needs throughout the shift.
  • Assist in keeping all areas clean and organized.
  • Report timely to work and prepared to start at the starting time. Know your work area and set up as directed.
  • Abide by the operating standards outlined in the policy and procedure manual.
  • Ensure prompt, quality service is provided.
  • Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Qualifications:

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to interact with co-workers in order to assure compliance with company Blue Ribbon service standards.
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced, team orientated setting.
  • Must be able to read, speak and write English Language in order to communicate with guests.
  • Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work all events, including: extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including: constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
  • Must have two(2) to three(3) years working in a fast paced bar, high-end club, or restaurant

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.

POSITION SUMMARY
Efficiently assists management with the operation of the restaurant/club, in accordance with the Company’s Blue Ribbon Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Supervises the activities of all associates assigned to floor; ensures that breaks occur in a timely manner
• Trains new and existing associates, under the direction of management
• Enforces and adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Ensures quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of food and beverage orders
• Assists associates with service and/or billing issues
• Verifies proper set-up, service, and cleaning of assigned area throughout shift/event
• Visits with guests to ensure satisfaction; promptly communicates any opportunities to management
• Analyzes and resolves all problems with employees, guests, client and the operation, with the assistance of management.
• Performs opening and closing procedures
• Ensures that all equipment is set up properly and operating efficiently and accurately.
• Verifies all paperwork is complete and turned in at conclusion of shift/event
• Ensures all workstations, storerooms, bar, host stand, decks and dining areas remain clean, sanitized, safe and sufficiently stocked.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety standards throughout the restaurant; follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations
• Completes daily point-of-sale reports as requested by management
• Adheres to and enforces inventory and labor control measures; performs inventory counts as requested

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assists management with the daily cash procedures and operations
• Assists in the ordering of bar product, rentals for events, and other products needed for the operation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree in Food & Beverage or related field, preferred
• Minimum of 2-3 years work experience in front-of-house restaurant or food service position, in a high volume environment, required
• One year supervisory experience in restaurant or service environment preferred
• Experience in cash handling and credit card processing required
• Previous experience using computerized POS system required; previous experience with Micros POS preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Blue Ribbon Service Standards
• Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
• Knowledgeable in the operation of a high volume sit-down restaurant with high service standards.
• Possess basic knowledge of bar operations and standard drink recipes and alcohol brand names.
• Basic math skills; ability to accurately total guest checks, account for cash and inventory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with staff and to prepare written reports
• Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead.
• Highly motivated, ability to take initiative.
• Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift
• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Ability to lift, balance and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 lbs.
• Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare bills.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Majority of time spent alternating between indoor, climate-controlled environment of restaurant and temperature fluctuations of warehouse and kitchen.
• May also be exposed to partially sheltered outdoor environment subject to climate fluctuations.

Facility Operations: Security
Security Coordinator - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

Summary:

Under the general direction from the Director of Security, the Security Coordinator for Events will assist in the day-to-day operations of all events. In the absence of management, the Security Coordinator for Events may receive functional event related instructions from the Event Manager(s) or general instructions from the Vice President of Guest Experience. The Security Coordinator for Events is responsible for the leadership and daily management of all Event Security Staff during assigned events. The Security Coordinator for Events will work closely with the other two departmental Coordinators on a daily basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scheduling for all security event staff during events
  • Ensure payroll documentation is properly completed and submitted with specific timelines
  • Assist with the hiring process for part time event staff
  • Complete special projects and tasks as assigned and within specified deadlines
  • Train new security personnel on security rules and protocols
  • Attend meetings, professional seminars, or conferences to keep abreast of changes or new technologies impacting security operations
  • Assist in emergency management and contingency planning
  • Maintain and issue departmental uniforms as necessary
  • Supervise subordinate security event staff, performing activities such as hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance or disciplining
  • Assist in coordinating information flow from the Director of Security, Security Coordinators, Event Managers, etc. to security and event staff personnel
  • Attend weekly meetings with other departments
  • Assist in developing security and event staff personnel through training and example
  • Demonstrate, in all aspects of job performance, a service oriented attitude with the outstanding interpersonal skills expected of all Amalie staff
  • Work special events, to include hockey games, football games, concerts, and other events hosted at Amalie Arena
  • Maintain a cohesive and collaborative working relationship with the Command and Parking Coordinator 
  • Provide back-up support for other Coordinators during vacation periods and absences; provide relief coverage, and be crossed trained on other duties

Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of progressive supervisory/management responsibility in a related field
  • Demonstrated strong leadership and personnel management experience
  • Proficient in the operation and use of various software applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and a tactful and diplomatic communication style
  • Demonstrated ability to easily work with other management personnel to achieve common goals
  • Experience working with persons from diverse backgrounds, cultures and socioeconomic classes
  • Demonstrated ability to be creative and seek proactive solutions to problems and solutions before and/or after they arise with little or no supervision
  • Ability to lift at least 25lbs
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills

• Controlling/monitoring entry to the guests’ and employees’ parking lots

JOB SUMMARY

  • Maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program in the areas of pipe work systems, back flow preventers, cartridge changes, grease traps etc.
  • Trouble shoot and repair a variety of plumbing issues, including toilets, urinals, flush controls
  • Some new install of pipe work and fixtures
  • Assist, as required, other skilled trades in a variety of maintenance repairs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Work with vendors to get competitive pricing on materials needed for jobs and submit purchase order requests

   QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five (5) years trade experience
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes

JOB SUMMARY

This position values guests and is committed to providing a positive impression with World Class Service. It is a behind the scenes position that requires handling of all arena HVAC Systems. This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing and ability to lift 50 pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and repair various components of climate control systems including motors, cooling and heating coils, heat pumps, hot water systems.
  • Program, monitor and schedule the cycling of climate control systems through a complex DDC processor for the most economical level of operation.
  • Test and treat via chemical alteration all open and closed looped climate control energy systems, including the treatment of cooling towers.
  • Maintenance and repair of centrifugal chillers and boilers including monitoring energy management procedures.
  • Maintain and repair ice-making equipment, refrigeration equipment and appliances.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
