Vinik purchased the Tampa Bay Lightning and the leasehold           rights to AMALIE Arena, in March 2010, transforming a moribund organization into one of the most highly regarded franchises in sports today; earning recognition as the number one organization in                      professional  sports by ESPN in its 2016 Ultimate Sports Standings. Vinik is also a partner, with                  Cascade Investment, LLC, in Strategic Property Partners, which is redeveloping 53 acres of property in            downtown Tampa into a $3 billion mixed-use development, bringing hotels, housing, retail, office space           and the USF Morsani College of Medicine to the Channelside area.

Job Summary:

The Event coordinator will assist the Event Manager with the overall planning and execution of events at the USF Sun Dome. The coordinator will work closely with all departments to coordinate and communicate all information imperative to executing a world-class event. The coordinator will be responsible for ensuring staff delivers world-class service at every level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for conducting site visits and follow-up with clients to ensure overall planning and execution of events/shows
  • Responsible for working closely with all departments while coordinating day-to-day events, shows, hospitality and meetings
  • Responsible for creating a complete and accurate “set-up sheet” based on advance material and distribute to staff
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with USF Athletics and visiting teams
  • Responsible for building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with outside vendors for show rentals, stagehands, runners, etc.
  • Responsible for working with all departments to ensure venue is clean, clear and ready for events/shows, hospitality events and meetings
  • Responsible for working closely and advance all events/show information with promoter/production contacts and communicate with all departments prior to and throughout events/shows
  • Responsible for preparing to-scale maps for ticket office based on tour specifications and act as main contact for kills and obstructions; communicate to all departments
  • Coordinate all set-up needs for events/shows, hospitality and meetings, including but not limited to guest service, conversion, stagehands, merchandise, broadcast networks, audio/visual support, IT, pyrotechnics, licenses, permits, insurance, catering, parking, estimates, housekeeping, sales, marketing, equipment rental and runners
  • Responsible for coordination of all functions from planning, advancing, load in, event operation, load out, post-event reports, managing invoices and expenses
  • Assist Manager with resource tracking, record keeping, and department reports
  • Represent the department on committees and other special project opportunities supported by the company
  • Assist Manager in business planning, budget management and other special projects as requested
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Events Management or Hospitality Management
  • A minimum of  1 year experience in venue events management and coordination, preferably in the sports, entertainment, convention or exposition industry
  • Ability to demonstrate  leadership skills
  • Experience in working in a capacity where you have no direct management responsibility for functions and work closely in a collaborative way to influence this areas
  • Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills demonstrated with the ability to develop and maintain positive long-term relationships with outside vendors and USF Athletics staff and guests
  • Demonstrated experience with project management

Job Summary:

The Premium Services Coordinator must strive for the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the needs of our guests. This position is responsible for the overall guest experience in our premium areas, which includes Suites, Loge Boxes, and VIP Clubs, and event night service of our guests with disabilities along with the coordination and documentation of guests who are injured while visiting the Amalie Arena.   • Manage, train and provide excellent leadership to our Platinum Services and Guest Services Departments
  • Develop a positive first point of contact providing World Class experience for our Premium Guests
  • Develop positive working relationships with all departments
  • Assist the Guest Services Manager in managing all areas of service, including Guest Services and the Plaza Team
  • Coordination of all ADA issues, incidents, injuries, complaints, concerns including lost and found in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with event crowd management
  • Build and maintain a luxury suite log, including maintenance, housekeeping needs, furniture and general upkeep
  • Assist with hiring, training and managing of staff for Platinum and Guest Services Departments.

  • Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures. Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure.
  • Replace panes of glass, ceiling tiles, and doors. Repair and install concrete pavers.
  • Install cabinets and molding, build and or repair furniture

JOB SUMMARY

A position with the Platinum Services Department requires proven World Class customer service skills, motivation, dependability, and exceptional communication skills. The candidate who earns a spot in this division shows unconditional professionalism with clientele and guests in our premium seating and ADA areas (suites, ADA entrances and all other premium seating areas). This position is responsible for greeting guests, unlocking suite doors, giving tours of our premium areas, and keeping the lines of communication open with Sport Service, Concierges, and Event Supervisors.  It is vital to assist the concierges and develop a relationship with the premium seating clientele.  This position requires availability to work no less than 80% of all events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist guests with any questions, concerns or special requests

  • Search guests’ personal items in a prompt, but friendly manner

  • Scan tickets for entry with a smile and a friendly greeting

  • Check tickets to ensure the proper guests are entering our premium areas

JOB SUMMARY:

The Guest Services position is responsible for providing World Class Customer Service to the guests at the Amalie Arena by ensuring guests feel welcome and they leave with a long lasting, positive impression. This position acts as a resource and host to guests visiting the Arena by maintaining a working knowledge of our facility and special events. The Guest Services staff plays a vital role when it comes to creating a clean, safe and enjoyable experience for our fans. They serve as the main point of contact for all guest requests/needs and then pursue the issue to a resolution. The members of the Guest Services staff must exhibit courteous hospitality at all times and be proactive in every area. A very high level of customer service aptitude is essential for this position. Upon hire, all employees will be expected to be available for no less than 70% of all events.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and seat guests in the arena in a friendly, professional manner to assure a positive impression

•   Excellent verbal communication skills required with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English. Bilingual a plus

• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

• Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
• This position may require working outside with exposure to extreme heat or weather conditions
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time including walking long distances and stairs
• Ability to lift a maximum of 25 pounds
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays and double shifts
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
