Part-time Event Security - Facility Operations (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY:

This position provides Facility Security for all events at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and responsible for the protection and safeguarding of guests and employees. This position reports to the Facility Patrol Supervisor. This is a Part Time position.

 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide all guests a positive first impression by offering World Class Service
  • Provide guests with accurate arena and event information
  • Enforce building policies and procedures
  • Accurately check all staff/guest bags prior to entering the arena
  • Respond to all emergencies during the event
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete incident reports
  • Work cooperatively with all staff members, law enforcement officers and fire/rescue personnel
  • Respond to all guests’ concerns/complaints in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
  • Monitor the crowd during all events to ensure safety for all
  • Verify credentials to control access into restricted areas
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of the Security Chain of Command
  • Security license preferred, Law Enforcement or Military background
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge and skill in radio communication
  • Excellent verbal communication skills required with a thorough understanding of written and spoken English. Bilingual a plus
  • Ability to listen effectively, take and execute directions given
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during times of stress
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment to diffuse volatile situations
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays and double shifts
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • This position may require working outside with exposure to extreme heat or weather conditions

Facility Operations: Facility/Venue Management
Parking Coordinator - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY

Support the organization’s overall mission by providing strategic direction to the parking operation.  Ensure the highest levels of customer service and parking revenue generation.  Assist in coordinating the efforts of parking vendors and internal parking operations staff and ensure adherence to all parking operations policies and procedures.  Sustain the culture of service aimed at providing an exceptional experience for all guest visits to the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily and event parking for SPP/TBSE
  • Create an overall parking strategy for SPP and TBSE Properties
  •  Coordinate sales and marketing efforts for all relative parking inventory
  • Meet or exceed revenue targets on an annual basis.
  • Coordinate the monitoring and trouble-shooting of automated parking equipment as necessary.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to guest questions and concerns when escalated to management level.
  • Manage the parking budget in coordination with the Director of Security.
  • Oversee the management of our external parking contracts.
  • Create and maintain accurate daily, monthly, and quarterly reports regarding parking operation revenue, expenses, usage patterns, etc.
  • Supervise the timely and accurate completion of daily count-down forms as they relate to the parking operation. 
  • Provide a superior level of Guest service in all parking areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Security.

Part-time Job Fair - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

LIGHTNING, TAMPA BAY TIMES FORUM TO HOST PART-TIME JOB FAIR

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Lightning and the Tampa Bay Times Forum will hold a part-time job fair on Thursday, September 4th from 3 - 7 p.m. on the Promenade Level of the arena. The fair is being held to fill positions for the Times Forum events, Lightning hockey and Tampa Bay Storm games.

The Lightning and Times Forum will be hiring for a number of positions in the exclusive all-inclusive Chase Club, concessions, parking attendants, event security, housekeeping, plaza team, conversions, ticket office and 50/50 raffle sellers. All positions are part-time and offer competitive hourly wages with incentives. All candidates are asked to dress professionally and to bring five copies of their resume, along with written references.

Applicants are asked to enter via the main staircase off of Ford Thunder Alley.

Part-time Housekeeping - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

JOB SUMMARY:

Whether working First, Second, or Third Shift, this position is responsible for the cleaning and support of our facility and grounds to make every event a World Class success. A high energy level, dependability, excellent attitude, attention to detail, excellent English communication, and desire to cooperate as a team member are critical components of success. This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. If you possess leadership skills, additional opportunities may become available as you prove yourself.  WE OFFER A $0.75 SHIFT PREMIUM FOR THE THIRD (OVERNIGHT) SHIFT.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and maintain all bathrooms and replenish supplies as needed

• Sweep, mop, vacuum and maintain various types of floors

Summary

Facility Operations: Event Guest Relations
PLAZA TEAM - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

PLAZA TEAM

As a division of Guest Services, The Plaza Team is responsible for providing World Class customer service to the guests at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, ensuring guests feel welcomed and that they leave with a long lasting, positive impression of our Arena.  The Plaza Team is often the first point of contact that guests encounter when arriving at the Forum as well as the last as guests leave the arena. Plaza Team is expected to maintain a working knowledge of our facilities and special events.  This position plays a vital role when it comes to creating a safe and interactive environment for our guests. This position will often times be the first contact for many of our venue sponsors, local radio stations and plaza entertainment. The members of the Plaza Team must exhibit an enthusiastic personality and be proactive in every area.  Upon hire, all employees will be expected to be available for no less than 70% of all events, as well as, 70% of all events that are deemed mandatory by management.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist conversion with set up and take down of Plaza
  • Direct and greet guests as they arrive at the Forum
  • Facilitate Kid’s Zone games and interactive areas
  • Respond to and investigate incidents that occur on the East and West Plaza.
  • Manage large crowds pre and post event
  • Enforce all arena policies during an event
  • Check tickets of guests as they enter and exit smoking areas
  • Must handle any and all guest-related matters in a professional and courteous manner
  • Manage the lines at the ticket office, Thunder Alley food stands, student rush, and all gates
  • Enforce the Forum’s policy regarding scalpers
  • Must be willing to assist other Forum departments.

Requirements:

  •  Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk long distances for up to 8 hours
  • Must have excellent communication skills and enjoy interacting with people and building new relationships
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Must enjoy interacting with children
  • Must be able to work in extreme temperatures
  • Previous customer service experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Facilities Manager must strive for the highest level of professionalism, while meeting the client’s needs, and a commitment to achieving a goal of 100% uptime throughout the facilities engineering team. This position values guests and is committed to providing a positive impression with World Class Service. This includes the management of Engineering and Maintenance personnel, work schedules, project and work planning, and time and attendance reports. This position requires physical activity including standing, walking, climbing and ability to lift 50 pounds.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in oversight of Engineering and Maintenance departments.
• Assist with management, scheduling and process payroll for the Engineering and Maintenance department personnel.
• Assist with oversight of full-time and part-time employees within the department.
• Manage building control system and all components associated with the climate control system, including programming, monitoring and scheduling system for the most economical and sustainable level of operation.
• Develop and implement regular safety meetings, assure department compliance with OSHA, and actively participate in facility safety drills and planning.
• Ensure Engineering and Maintenance team has required tools, parts, and resources to perform their job effectively and safely.
• Actively work to reduce gas, electric and water bills.
• Assist Building Operations Manager with organizing all building renovations, repairs and improvements.
• Coordinate and document all building repairs and preventative maintenance using the Aware Manager system.
• Uphold and enforce company policy and procedures.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• An AA/AS Degree or Vocational Certification in related field preferred
• Thorough knowledge of local, state and federal codes and regulations
• Strong leadership skills with emphasis on teamwork and workplace safety is essential
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong computer and software experience desired
• Knowledgeable with Johnson Controls Metasys building management system preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and good time management skills are essential
• Ability to work long hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
