Technololgy Services Manager - Tampa Bay Lightning (Tampa, FL)

Job Summary:

The IT Manager provides IT support for all systems, networking and telecommunications for events at the Amalie Arena and is responsible for all server infrastructure, disaster recovery, business continuity, connectivity, telecommunications, internet and application systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of Information technology, including but not limited to: MS Exchange, MS Office, Servers, Back-ups, Networking, Security, Software deployments, workstations, etc
  • Manage help desk operations, ensuring world-class customer service levels
  • Manage schedule of resources to ensure daily staff support as well as optimal event support
  • Manage the day-to-day budget for Technology Services
  • Manage process for onboarding and off-boarding of staff and vendors
  • Ensure all hardware and software is fully licensed, compliant and within its support life
  • Manage projects directly as needed
  • Develop and manage SOP for requirements and staffing of events, including hockey and the event calendar
  • Develop SOP for conference room setup and support
  • Provide technical expertise and support for building security systems
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with vendors as needed for technology operations
  • Process payments for technology services and maintain budget compliance
  • Provide user training and support as needed for new systems
  • Provide regular review of technology environment and potential for improvement (hardware and software)
  • Provide onsite support for events as needed
  • Participate in development of and enforcement of standard information security measures
  • Manage ticketing system with regular reporting to management on overall performance
  • Acts as escalation point for service desk ticketing system and completes tickets as assigned
  • Enhance existing and recommend new technologies to improve company efficiency and quality.
  • Coordinates and schedules work with vendor service providers.
  • Participates in creating annual budget, capital expense planning, project management,
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance during work hours
  • Enforce IT policies and procedures, document work appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology related field
  • 7 years experience managing information technology with gradual growth
  • Experience managing technical staff
  • Experience with large-scale IT projects
  • Experience in sports and entertainment preferred
  • Compliance with our company policy of Background Checks and Random Drug Screens
  • Punctual, dependable, and Excellent work attendance record
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to multi task and take direction well and sometimes work under tight time pressures
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and possible infrequent holidays and double shifts
  • Ability to work as a part of a project team with limited supervision and must be a self-starter with initiative
  • Energetic, in good physical condition and stamina; this position may require working outside with exposure to extreme heat or cold
  • The ability to stand on feet for long periods of time and walk long distances and climb stairs; the ability to climb ladders, kneel, bend, stoop and squat without any physical movement restriction
